The Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking has received a $1 million donation from Starbucks to strengthen statewide efforts to prevent, identify, and combat human trafficking across Florida.
This generous donation will support new and expanded initiatives focused on prevention, enforcement, survivor support, and public awareness. Funding will help provide grants for law enforcement agencies working to identify and investigate trafficking, service providers supporting survivors of exploitation, statewide training opportunities, and public awareness campaigns to help Floridians recognize and report suspected trafficking.
“This extraordinary investment from Starbucks will help us move from awareness to action in communities across Florida,” said Erin Collins, Executive Director of the Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking. “This donation will help ensure that those on the front lines have the tools, technology, and training they need to identify trafficking and stop exploitation before more lives are harmed.”
The donation comes as Florida continues to lead a coordinated statewide response to human trafficking, including increased training and awareness around major events across the state and during Hurricane Season. It also allows the Florida Alliance to leverage additional grants, donations, and partnerships to expand its impact and reach more communities across the state.
